Good evening, My name is Ben T, and I just wanted to reach out to you guys to thank you again for the wonderful dog we adopted from you six years ago. My wife and I reached out in 2019, shortly after losing our elderly dog looking to adopt. We had our eyes set on a little cream colored female and drove all the way up from Santa Rosa to see her, and left with her that day and named her Lemon. I reached out a few years back with an update, but forgot to provide photos since our life was a little hectic at the time so I wanted to take the time to make sure I reached out again. We purchased a house and moved back to Maine, my home state, in 2021 so now we live in Caribou up near the Canadian border. She’s adjusted to the winters and the colder weather really well, and she loves playing in the snow. To the point we need to pick her up to get her inside sometimes on the days we have negative temperatures. She loves sticking her face in the snow to sniff and try to track the small critters that might be scurrying around there, and chasing snowballs. She’s an absolute goofball and a complete joy to have around. My family up here loved her instantly, to the point where my cousins thought my uncle was going to get a dachshund of his own because of how much he loves Lemon, haha. She is the absolute best dog I could have asked for, and has helped me through some extremely difficult times. After a stressful day at work, or a hard day of dealing with chores, she immediately cheers us up by crawling into our lap. She lives for affection and cuddles, and seems content to sleep wherever we are at so long as she is near us. We could not be happier, she really is the perfect dog for our home. I’ve attached some photos of her this time. Thank you again, Ben T

Hi Jake and Josh! Lulu is thriving and continues to be a source of love, affection and energetic entertainment! She seems to be potty trained now on the pee pads and she likes to go out through the dog door and do her thing in the back yard in the grass. Our 16yo, Leo, is socializing her, with some annoyance, but we have caught them resting and sleeping together also.

My mother Linda, aunt Elsa and myself visited last summer and purchased a wirehaired female puppy and a smooth red puppy. My mother and aunt live in England and are AKC carded judges. We were extremely impressed with your knowledge of genetics and nutrition, and with your incredible dogs. When you found out they were AKC show judges, you allowed us into your kennel! Even though you do not show your dogs yourself, both my mother and aunt agreed that any of your dogs would do well in the show ring. These two ladies are not easily impressed. I have since referred four other people to you looking for show prospects. Thank you so much

Hope everyone at Songcatcher is doing well and enjoying the spring weather! Baxter turned a year old this week and I thought I’d send a new picture. Looks pretty comfortable, doesn’t he? He was excited to get a 6 pack of his favorite Lamb Chop squeaky toys, and a handsome new collar. He got a new chew bone too, but it’s hard to tell if he really enjoys those since what he mostly does is run around looking for hiding places for them….over and over again! None of his hiding places would fool anyone because he finishes up by dragging blankets or pillows over them. Impossible to miss the little treasure pyramids he builds, but I do my best to pretend.

Thank you so much for this little dude- we have no regret driving 14 hours to pick him up. He is strong, healthy, handsome, never had any health-related issues so far. he was the best thing that happened to me, I love him and want to share some of his cute moments with you. I also gave him a Chinese name 俞大壮, which means big and strong, I hope he will be part of our family for many years to come.

Hi Jake and Josh. Here is our beautiful sweet Elsa before and after she grew up. She is so Loving. She gets brushed almost every day. She loves the attention. She can out run Clover. Clover is about 1/2” behind her and can’t catch her. Elsa has a longer stride. So funny to see them run laps around the house.
