In the rare event of a serious health issue, we offer a replacement puppy of your choice when you’re ready.

Nutrition Starter Kit

Kibble Supply: To help your puppy transition smoothly into their new home, we include a bag of their current kibble, providing approximately one month’s worth of food. No need to purchase food ahead of time!

Simple Reservation Process

Secure Your Puppy: A $500 deposit reserves your chosen puppy and counts toward the total cost. The remaining balance is due at or before pickup, making the process straightforward and transparent. This deposit is Non-Refundable.

Picking Up Your Pup

In-Person Pickup

We prefer that you come in and meet your new Dachshund in person at our location in historic Nevada City, nestled just outside the majestic foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains in Northern California. Meeting in person allows you to bond with your puppy, ensuring a smooth and joyful transition for both of you. It's also an excellent opportunity to ask any questions and receive guidance on caring for your new furry family member.

Pick Up Your Pup at the Airport

We understand that sometimes in-person pickup isn't possible. In such cases, we offer to meet at the airport where you fly in and pick up your pup and take them back with you as a carry-on. We offer this vs air shipping as its much less stressful and the pup will have someone with them the whole time.

Puppy Application Terms and Conditions

The main goal of Songcatcher Dachshunds is to place our puppies in loving, permanent homes. We have puppies that are placed as family companions (non-breeding or showing). We do not offer AKC papers. If this is an issue, please feel free to look elsewhere. Please contact us to learn more about our puppy placement policy. On occassion we will have older puppies or adults in need of loving homes. Please contact us for availability.
